Is Manila Up to the Challenge?

This IDC Flash examines the potential of Manila as a viable alternative to Bangalore in business process outsourcing (BPO) in light of IBM's recent opening of its multimillion-dollar business transformation outsourcing (BTO) Global Delivery Center in the Philippines. Of late, several large multinational companies (MNCs) such as EDS and Dell have joined IBM in setting up large BPO centers in Manila largely to serve the customer care segment for BPO services mainly to clients in North America.
