Copier Dealers/IT Resellers and HP's LaserJet 4345MFP and Color LaserJet 4730MFP

We assess the response of copier dealers and IT resellers to the HP 45ppm, A4, monochrome LaserJet 4345MFP, and the 30ppm Color LaserJet 4730MFP. We also examine what product categories these channel players are displacing with the LaserJet 4345MFP. According to Angle Boyd, group VP, Imaging/Output and Document Solutions, "Slightly less than 5% of copier dealers carry HP laser copiers/MFPs, whereas a sizeable 64% of IT resellers that sell laser copiers/MFPs carry HP laser copiers/MFPs. Higher percentages of medium-sized/large than small copier dealers carry the 4345 and 4730, and the data suggests that medium-sized and large copier dealers are carrying the specific HP models to complement their core copier/MFP brands and that the HP 4345 and 4730 MFP models are not driving HP to be a top 2 laser copier/MFP brand at these medium-sized and large copier dealers."
