U.S. Home Office 2006-2010 ForecastProduct Type: Market Research ReportPublished by: IDC Published: March 2006 Product Code: R104-26235 Description
This IDC study forecasts the ownership, annual shipments, and installed base of PCs, printers, MFPs, LANs, wireless LANs, and mobile phones for home offices in the United States annually through 2010, with 2005 as a base year. The estimates for penetration, shipments, and installed base for each of these technologies are presented as end of year for the forecast period. "For many of the technologies discussed in this study, decreasing costs are leading to strong adoption of what was once reserved for corporate offices," says Chris Hazelton, senior analyst, SMB Research. "Although pricing is always the first and most compelling purchase criterion (at least once affordability is achieved), it is important to keep in mind that the need for advanced functionality is not far behind in the minds of home office users approaching a purchase decision, in particular corporate home office users, who have experience with enterprise-grade technology."
