McAfee Announces Mobile Security Solution Set

IDC examines McAfee's latest offering for the mobile security market, McAfee VirusScan Mobile, and discusses how this platform differentiates McAfee from other vendors in this space. VirusScan Mobile is an integrated end-to-end solution that has been designed specifically for the entire mobile ecosystem: mobile device manufacturers, operators, enterprises, and consumers. This platform has the ability to protect mobile devices from a range of threats stemming from email and instant messaging as well as multiple entry points such as SMS, MMS, and Bluetooth. McAfee is also offering a variety of deployment options to its partners, which we will look at more closely in the strategy portion of this document.
