Asia/Pacific (Excluding Japan) IT Services 2006-2010 Forecast and AnalysisProduct Type: Market Research ReportPublished by: IDC Published: May 2006 Product Code: R104-26364 Description
This IDC study looks at the total IT Services market for the Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) or APEJ marketplace, for the period of 2005 to 2010. From a growth point of view, IDC has forecast that the market will grow from US$29.57 billion in 2005, to US$48.37 billion in 2010. This represents a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10% over the forecast period. From an engagement point of view, systems integration, enterprise-wide IT outsourcing, and hardware support are going to be the largest engagements, but the discrete outsourcing environment will see the strongest growth rates, clearly at the relative expense of traditional outsourcing. "Whilst the overall IT services market in the APEJ region is growing at a strong rate of 10%, there is considerable diversity across the region, some markets from both a geographic and engagement points of view have significant potential and others are relatively lagging. This has significant implications for service providers and will increase complexity. Additionally, 2010 will see the reign of Australia as the largest IT services market in APEJ come to an end, as the PRC becomes more mature," says Phil Hassey, director, Asia/Pacific Services, IDC Asia/Pacific.
