Education Sector Energy Use and CharacteristicsProduct Type: Market Research ReportPublished by: IDC Published: August 2006 Product Code: R104-27498 Description
The education sector, including K-12 schools, colleges, and universities, represents about one out of every 10 square feet of commercial floor space in the U.S. While these buildings vary greatly, many are in poor condition, providing the opportunity for renovations, equipment upgrades, and associated energy services. In this report, we provide data on the energy use characteristics of educational facilities, including load shapes according to region and institutional type. We also identify key decision makers and assess their attitudes about energy suppliers, their experience with utility service, and their interest in selected products and services. Table of Contents
