Looking for Growth in IT Outsourcing: Regional Opportunities in CanadaProduct Type: Market Research ReportPublished by: IDC Published: September 2006 Product Code: R104-27745 Description
This IDC study presents an approach for outsourcers to use to analyze the overall market and identify segments they can target for growth as the IT outsourcing market is in a period of slow spending growth. We forecast that growth in IT outsourcing services spending will range between 4% and 5% until 2010. "Providers of outsourcing services, managed services, and IT utility services that go to market based on regions need to design strategies specific to each region. Atlantic Canada behaves differently than Ontario, while Western Canada has a different propensity to outsource than Quebec does. The winners in the evolving IT outsourcing market will be those that take a smarter approach to market planning," according to Jason Bremner, director, Outsourcing Services, IDC Canada.
