The key objective of the IT and managed services survey is to understand and provide insight ? from the end-user's perspective ? into the IT and managed services markets in the Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) or APEJ region. The survey targeted respondents who were responsible for or were the most knowledgeable about an organization's use of IT services and IT outsourcing (ITO). The survey was run in 10 countries that rolled up into the APEJ market view. The specific countries were: Australia, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, the People's Republic of China (PRC), Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand. The data in this presentation was cut to reflect the views of those respondents who have chosen to outsource all or part of their IT infrastructure in engagements including network management, desktop management, and hosted infrastructure management. Some of the key questions that are answered in this presentation include: What delivery mechanisms for outsourcing do you employ? What problems have you come encountered with respect to outsourcing? What were the key reasons or motivating factors for engaging an external party in the management of your applications? In which of the following areas will you increase your spending over the next 12 months? Why would/does your company choose to manage IT infrastructure completely in-house? Why did you end your previous outsourcing engagement?Table of Contents
