Western European Business Intelligence Tools, 2005 Vendor SharesProduct Type: Market Research ReportPublished by: IDC Published: September 2006 Product Code: R104-28036 Description
This IDC study is a Competitive Analysis of the Western European business intelligence (BI) tools market. The study provides detailed historical Western European vendor revenues and market shares from 2004 to 2005. Vendor analysis, with revenue and market shares of the leading vendors, is provided for 2005. These revenues are further shown in seven regions within Western Europe for the top 10 vendors. The study also provides profiles of leading vendors and a Leadership Grid for the BI tools market 2005. "The Western European BI tools market grew 13.7% to reach ?1,590 million in license and maintenance revenues. Both high- and low-end markets are maturing and becoming standardized and competition will intensify on both ends of the BI market," said Rasmus Andsbjerg, a senior research analyst with IDC's European Software group. "High-end users will be more thourough in model selection and will increasingly stress ROI. In the low-end of the market, high prices have been one of the main constraints to BI penetration. With the signals we see in the Western European markets we believe price to be one of the competitive parameters in 2006." Table of Contents
