This IDC study examines some the perceptions and attitudes that Canadian business have with respect to outsourcing in general and business process outsourcing (BPO) (HR, finance and accounting [F&A], and procurement) specifically. The analysis examines the differences in responses between IT and business unit executives. "Outsourcers will have to find a balance between meeting the needs of business and IT executives as well as the business overall when proposing outsourcing solutions," says Jim Westcott, Business Services Research manager for IDC Canada. "There are subtle differences in concerns of outsourcing as well as the importance of several vendor attributes between the two respondent groups.
