Norway BPO 2005 Vendor Shares and 2006-2010 Forecast

The Norwegian BPO market is showing strong growth. "Industry-specific solutions within logistics in the shipping industry generate best-practice cases for large corporations, key drivers for BPO vendors" says Staffan Söderman, Research Analyst at IDC Nordic. Public authorities are more than ever focused on reducing costs and digitalization of e.g. payroll systems is seen as investment with a high ROI. Competition in the HR field is fierce, with vendors often providing proprietary software as well as adapting to customer preferences. The winners will be those vendors who have the deepest understanding of the market potentials, the mapping of customer specific processes and the optimal approach to partnering. The last requirement ? partnerships ? will become increasingly important, as the normal barriers between former separate functional BPO segments will start to vanish.
