Storage Use by Drive Interface: Results From IDC's Annual European Storage Survey

This Update is intended to be a very short document that explores the types of disk drives used in Europe. The findings are taken from a larger, 32-question survey of more than 500 European storage decision makers. Respondents to this survey were either directly responsible for storage purchases or influenced the storage purchases in their organization. The survey was carried out in October and November 2006, and was conducted across six countries/regions (U.K. and Ireland, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and the Nordics). The organizations polled were distributed across multiple company sizes and industries.

Full analysis of our survey findings and a detailed methodology will be available in our forthcoming annual storage survey study, a draft of which was available while this update was being written.
