This IDC study is an update to Worldwide and U.S. Paper/Digital Document Management Solutions 2005 Vendor Profiles (IDC #33992, September 2005). The market for paper/digital document solutions remains attractive due to its continued growth and opportunities for increased customer penetration of solution offerings. Although the market is quite competitive, a number of vendors are succeeding in presenting their offers to the market by evaluating their existing portfolios and making strategic decisions on channel and product features. "This market will continue to grow well over the next several years, yet the competition will be fierce as hardcopy vendors and solution providers alike look to make deeper inroads into their existing and new accounts," said Michael Orasin, research manager for IDC's Document Solutions.
