U.S. Small Business 2008-2012 ForecastProduct Type: Market Research ReportPublished by: IDC Published: February 2008 Product Code: R104-32981 Description
This IDC study forecasts the ownership of a number of technology products in small businesses ? firms with fewer than 100 employees ? through 2012. Products include PCs, MFPs, LANs, and servers. Estimates for penetration levels associated with each of the different technologies are presented for the end of each year in the forecast period. According to Merle Sandler, Research Manager in the SMB and Home Office services at IDC, "Technology providers have been paying increased attention to small firms as a market segment worth pursuing, based on the size of the market and the fact that they are less technologically sophisticated than midsize and large firms. Small businesses will continue to make significant IT investments, and technology providers need to educate these firms about the advanced solutions that can enhance business efficiencies."
