Customers Select Bluespring BPMS for SharePoint Integration, Orientation Toward Business AnalystProduct Type: Market Research ReportPublished by: IDC Published: April 2008 Product Code: R104-33542 Description
This IDC study is one of a series of IDC Customer Needs and Strategies studies that examine how customers are using various business process management products. In this case, we discuss Bluespring's BPM Suite with two customers that have production deployments that involve the automation of a variety of business and IT processes. The goal of this study is to provide insight to help enterprises as they are thinking through and actively evaluating BPM software. In addition, given the degree of competition from direct business process management suite (BPMS) vendors as well as larger platform vendors, we wanted to learn more about why Bluespring's BPM Suite was selected in competitive purchasing decisions. This is useful in differentiating Bluespring from its competition. The purchasing decisions spanned 2005?2006. Therefore, this study also looks at how actively these customers are using Bluespring for BPM in general and for optimization and follow-on projects. "The relative independence from IT in automating a process is a major selling point for Bluespring and a major benefit for purchasers and prospective customers because it aligns more closely with business cycle times," according to Maureen Fleming, program director, Business Process, Integration and Deployment Software.
