Description
Since their CRM expertise has been primarily related to the informational or back-office realm, both NCR and IBM have recently begun marketing informational CRM "pseudo-suites." CRM pseudo-suites are prepackaged CRM modules that provide FSIs with significant CRM capabilities while avoiding the integration effort that typically accompanies a CRM business strategy.

The pseudo-suites developed by IBM and NCR are built off of the heritage strengths that each vendor has in data warehousing and business intelligence. Although both vendors started from the same position, their resulting pseudo-suites have some remarkable differences. Since both pseudo-suites are relatively new to the market, it will be interesting to track each vendor's progress in licensing its informational CRM pseudo-suites.
