- The insurance market increased by 3% y/y to RON 4.6bn (EUR 1.1bn) in H1, but contracted sharply by 10.6% y/y in euros. This is the first negative correction of the market after years of two-digit growth.
- The financing extended by leasing companies contracted steeply by 73.6% y/y to EUR 777mn in H1, prompted by the plunge in the car sales during the period. The prospects for the second half of the year remain pessimistic.
- Private pensions continued to report good performance of all indicators during Jan-Aug.
