Notes from Microsoft TechEd 2007Product Type: Market Research ReportPublished by: Yankee Group Published: July 2007 Product Code: R388-2393 Description At Microsoft’s TechEd, the server and tools group was talking about the new big vision, Dynamic IT for the People-Ready Business. It’s not just about infrastructure, but spans infrastructure, applications and business process. The big idea is to improve IT agility to meet the increasingly rapid response times required to be competitive in today’s business environment. A lot of this means automation, but Microsoft emphasized people, culture and organizational issues. It’s not very clear how a software vendor is going to help change a customer’s IT culture, but it is nice to see the emphasis that people are what really make the machine move. Dynamic IT covers four key technology areas: unified and virtualized, process-led/model driven, serviceenabled and user-focused. Table of Contents
