Product Type: Market Research Report
Published by: In-Stat
Published: June 2003
Product Code: R97-1316Description The global wireless handset market had a strong first quarter, following an equally healthy 2002, according to a new In-Stat/MDR report called "Still Strong: Q1 2003 Report."
Based on the latest data, handset shipments rose 17% in Q1 03 compared to the same quarter a year earlier.
The rest of the year, however, might not be so rosy. The effects of SARS, excess inventory in China and struggling economies could take a toll. Even so, the handset manufacturing business has strength and should end the year on a positive note.
Other highlights of this wireless handset report include:
- Metrics for shipments by technology
- Regional shipment data and forecasts
- Handset revenue forecasts
- Detailed figures for camera-phone and smartphone shipments
- A look at new handsets coming to market
So, if wireless handsets are your thing, this report is a must-have tool. It gives you all the latest data on the global and regional markets, and related trends.Table of Contents |
