Description
Based on an October 2005 survey of decision-makers at 627 U.S. businesses of diverse size, this multi-client study explores use of wireless services within the business environment and the processes organizations use for deciding to select and retain wireless service providers. The study examines per-company and per-employee average wireless spending, including breakdowns for equipment versus services. It examines wireless service provider contracting processes, enterprise wireless contracts, and trends in liability for employee bill payment. Additionally, it identifies primary and secondary wireless providers used and satisfaction and intent to churn by provider, indicating which gained or lost ground over the past year. Finally, the study examines enterprise demand for wireless data services as well as wireless access device choices and selection processes. Where relevant, data is segmented by enterprise customer size (1-4, 5-99, 100-999 & 1,000+ employees) and vertical market, and, where available and relevant, 2005 data is compared with 2004 data, highlighting year-to-year trends.
