Share of Wallet: US WAN Market Trends by Size of Business

Product Type: Market Research Report
Published by: In-Stat
Published: April 2008
Product Code: R97-3108
Description

In 2008, US WAN wireline data services revenues are projected to see an overall increase of 2% from 2007, with moderate growth projected through 2012. During this period, these services will go thorough a significant transition, as businesses continue to move from legacy services to next-generation network (NGN) services.

Currently, legacy services (frame relay, private line, and ATM) generate almost twice the revenue of NGN services (IP/MPLS and Ethernet services), but, looking forward, In-Stat anticipates this to dramatically change, projecting that, by 2012, the revenue allocation for these services will essentially reverse. The pace and volume of this transition will vary by size of business.

This report provides a consolidated overview of the transitions taking place within the US wireline data services marketplace for all four major market segments: enterprise (firms with 1,000+ employees), mid-sized business (firms with 100-999 employees), small business (firms with 5-99 employees), and SOHOs (firms with 1-4 employees). For each of these segments, this report provides a five-year top line forecast, demographic profile, technology adoption index, and insight into how revenue allocation will change over the forecast period.
