4Q 00 High-End LAN Switch Market Analysis

The LAN packet Layer 2, Layer 3 and Layer 4 through 7 switch market grew 20% in the fourth quarter of 2000 as ports shipped reached 38.65 million, up from the 32.23 million ports shipped in the third quarter of 2000. Revenues grew at 8% to $4.77 billion in 4Q 00.
