Q1 2001 Terabit Router Market Analysis

Product Type: Market Research Report
Published by: In-Stat
Published: July 2001
Product Code: R97-717
Description

Following a 2% decrease in revenue during 4Q 00, the total market shrank 20% to $2.8 billion in 1Q 01 -- even so, a 9% increase in revenue over 1Q 00. This was due to sharply declining ASPs and demand across almost all router segments. Units shipped shrank 8% in 1Q 01 -- mostly due to the sharp declines seen in all traditional router segments such as, branch office, mid-range and high-end. This report includes detailed revenue and shipment market shares and a rolling, three-quarter forecast of the terabit router market and other routers by the high-end, mid-range, branch office and SOHO segments.
