| This report examines the Ethernet switch market for 4Q03. Market shares for a wide range of Ethernet switch vendors are provided, based both on port shipments and manufacturer's revenue for the quarter. In addition, port shipments and manufacturer's revenue are forecasted for the three quarters subsequent to 4Q03. The data is highly segmented, both by OSI Layer (L2, L3, and L4-7), equipment configuration (Fixed vs. Modular), as well as by speed (Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, 10 Gigabit Ethernet). Cross segmentation is also provided for greater granularity (for example: L2 Fixed Fast Ethernet). Finally, a breakout of Managed vs. Unmanaged L2 Fixed shipments/revenue is provided for both Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, and in total, as well as an overall breakout of Copper vs. Fiber Gigabit Ethernet shipments/revenue.
