Worldwide router sales revenues for branch office, enterprise, service provider edge, and service provider core routers totaled $1.98 billion in 3Q 04. This was an increase of 7% from the previous quarter. Service provider edge router sales revenues increased by 21% from 2Q 04, but core router sales revenues remained about the same. Branch office routers accounted for 70% of the total unit shipments, and 19% of the total sales revenues.
